our comments

Beacon is a creation from Kazuto Matsusaka (Chinois on Main, ZenZero and Barfly). Over the years, Kazuto has developed a following. His menu at the modern bistro in the classic Helms Bakery building remains simple along with the prices. Feast on the Asian cuisine influenced by chef’s many years in California and Europe. Nothing to write home about but the creations and combinations of ingredients are attractive. Kakuni udon noodles with braised pork belly, and Thai-marinated grilled jidori chicken with green papaya salad are samples of the cuisine along with sashimi plates and maki rolls. This is an easy place to go to catch up with a friend or to get some decent food while furniture shopping.
