The Porterhouse Bistro offers a good value for money special which is an excellent quality.

Gin-tonic was a good one, something that cannot be said of many places in the US.... The red zinfandel was absolutely disappointing and may have given my loved one a bit of a hangover, even after 2 glasses.

The appetizers are lovely.

After we sat down we were pleasantly surprised with a basket of warm bread, a plate with tapenade, tomatoe salsa, roasted garlic (roasted in the oven which means that it will not nearly affect the breath as much as raw garlic.. so no worries on a first date) and good quality butter.

One of the appetizers was smoked salmon quesadillas served on greens.

Rich, but absolutely delicious.

The Endive Salad is to be recommended.

So is the 26 oz steak for 2 that arrived on a sizzling hot platter and was of an excellent quality.

My loved one chose for the chocolate layer cake... I did not get the chance to try even a spoon.

I opted for the crispy apple tart.

They both come with a good quality vanilla ice cream.

Service was good, friendly waiter with a great sense of humour.

One little disappointing remark.

In a good "white table cloth" restaurant as the Porterhouse Bistro I would expect real flowers as opposed to the fake ones throughout the whole restaurant.

Other than that.

We will definitely be back for more.
